David Turner, FSA
Mr. Turner is the owner of Turner Consulting. He is also a Fellow
of the Society of Actuaries. Prior to forming Turner Consulting,
he held positions with Hewitt Associates, KPMG Peat Marwick, and
Aetna Health Plans. He has worked with many of the largest public
and private organizations on the West Coast. Mr. Turner is also
one of very few healthcare FSAs in Northern California (FSA indicates
successful completion of both the mathematical and economic principles
in the actuarial exam/training process). He has been a guest speaker
and author to numerous industry organizations and publications.
Mr. Turner attended the University of Notre Dame, B.S. 1986 and
earned his FSA designation in 1993.
Linda Traurig
Ms. Traurig brings the human resource department/client's perspective
to our team. She has held HR and Benefit Manager positions throughout
her career prior to becoming a consultant. Her skills include benefit
plan management, policy and procedure development/interpretation,
mergers and acquisitions, and general HR assistance. Linda has been
a panel speaker and member of several professional associations.
Shawn
Rosen, Actuary
Shawn provides additional actuarial support to our clients, with an emphasis on data analysis. He has held positions with Hewitt Associates, Arthur Andersen, and Deloitte Consulting before joining Turner Consulting’s team. He has over 10 years of benefits and actuarial experience working with large public and private entities.
Alfred
(Mike) B. Fowler, Attorney-at-Law
Mr. Fowler has 29 years experience in healthcare plan design, financing,
and compliance. This includes 10 years in private law practice (following
11 years in group insurance sales and 9 years in benefit consulting).
Mr. Folwer's law practice focuses on legal/technical support to
consultants, brokers, and large employers regarding cafeteria plans,
communications, and compliance.
Jim
Williamson, Williamson Communications
Mr. Williamson has created successful communication programs for
many large, Bay Area clients. These programs deliver key messages
(benefit changes, new programs, business direction shifts) using
tools and tactics appropriate for a client's culture. Before forming
Williamson Communication in 1995, Jim worked at Great West and William
M. Mercer. He then launched Zabit & Associates (as a founding
principal and the creative director). Jim's work has been recognized
frequently by professional organizations and featured in multiple
